The Philadelphia Juneteenth Family stands at the heart of the city’s commitment to community cohesion, cross‑cultural understanding, and the social and economic advancement of the African American diaspora. Rooted in the spirit of liberation and collective progress, the organization brings Philadelphians together to honor history while building pathways for a stronger future. On June 1, 2026 at 11 a.m., the Philadelphia National Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony at City Hall will mark the official beginning of the city’s Juneteenth season, a moment of remembrance, pride, and unity as the Juneteenth flag rises over the civic center of our city.
