DESCRIPTION:The PECO Multicultural Series presents the ACANA Festival to celebrate unity\, culture\, and the vibrant spirit of the Global African Diaspora. \nFounded in 2007 as a neighborhood street celebration in Southwest Philadelphia\, the ACANA Festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated cultural showcases within the PECO Multicultural Series—Philadelphia’s signature lineup of free outdoor summer events presented by PECO Energy and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation. Each year\, the festival transforms the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing into a vibrant celebration of Global African culture\, welcoming up to 8\,000 attendees and more than 45 vendors. Over the years\, ACANA has hosted an extraordinary roster of international stars\, including Bracket\, Davido\, Flavour N’abania\, Pape Diouf\, Timaya\, Yemi Alade\, Sharon Katz & The Peace Train\, Kobazzie\, Wande Coal\, and more.
