African Liberation Day
African Liberation Day was originally created in 1963 by the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and is now celebrated on May 25th every year around the world. When the OAU became the African Union (AU) in 2002, Africa Day continued as a major global celebration. On May 25th, we will honor that important date in Philadelphia at the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA) with a presentation by the great Dr. Molefi K. Asante Department of Africology and African American Studies, Temple University and an Art Exhibit by a renowned African Multimedia Artist Kayode Malomo.
